Kelly Paterson was born in Montreal,1960. She has devoted most of her life to her art and carries out her commitment to paint and exhibits an exemplary discipline in the search for her work. Her inspiration comes to her from her multiple interests; through colours, structure, movemnent, light, her love of nature transpires. Nature stands out, the one that is part of our everyday life. It is that very same nature that fascinates and amazes us with so much beauty in it's evoultion and in its expression.
We can also notice the light. Sometimes discreet, sometimes imposed, it stands out or insuinuates itself. It allows us to appreciate all the nuances of colour, Her capacity to express herself with colour is an endless story of creation and it is renewed according to the inspiration of the moment. Her work evolves continuously. She shapes her paintings with pleasure, but especially by considering the challenges of expressing emotion through structure, texture, colour and light.
In 2011 she was selected to exhibit at the Carrousel du louvre in Paris.
She has participated in several symposiums in Montreal and Quebec City.
