ESTATE OF: David W. Henderson

David W. Henderson (1938-2021) formally exhibited his artwork since 2005. He first began at Arteast Ottawa, eventually moving on to solo shows. The first show he held was called “Experiments in Light” in 2008, at the Visual Arts Centre (VACO). He was a trailblazer at the time when pouring, as an artistic medium, was first on the market. He had two major shows at the main Gallery of the Ottawa School of Art, both showcasing his acrylic paintings. He actively painted and regularly sold his works until 2020 from his large home gallery. He won several prizes in juried exhibits by Arteast and the Ottawa Art Association.
After his passing, his wife continued selling his works regularly in exchange for donations to the Ottawa School of Art, until they were transferred to Rothwell Gallery in 2024.
His spectacular pieces remain in various collections across Ottawa, the Maritimes, Minnesota, Massachusetts, California, and in Brittany, France.
